Primary cavernous hemangioma of the thyroid gland

Background: Hemangiomas of the thyroid gland are extremely rare.Case presentation: We report a case of a 78-year-old euthyroid male patient with a primary cavernous hemangioma of the thyroid gland. The patient presented for evaluation of a symptomatic, slowly growing neck mass. He did not have any previous medical history and, moreover, had no history of trauma, FNA or other neck procedures.
